Google Books Search (http://books.google.co.nz/ )

Type in a name of an author or book. Choose List view or Cover View (List view shown below). Click on a book and an overview, reviews, related books and references will be presented.

You can create a bookshelf to add favourite books to.

This search engine will return academic sites based on your search words

Google Image Swirl (http://image-swirl.googlelabs.com/ )

Type in your search term, click on an image, it will create a new branch. Click twice on an image to go to its website.

In the example below, I have clicked on Videos and now my results show the videos available

The Wonder wheel is a fantastic search tool as it offers other keyword possibilities. Click on one of the keyword choices and it will open another wheel. All the sites for those keywords appear to the right.
